Akshay Kumar has dominated this year as all his films have done well at the box office. Kesari, Mission Mangal and Housefull 4 have already raked in several crores, and Good Newwz is about to release soon. While Akshay is looking to reach Rs 1,000 crore at the box office this year, his latest release Housefull 4 has created new records.
Even Hrithik had a great year. While Super 30 won him critical acclaim, War proved to be a smashing hit. However as far as numbers are concerned, the actor’s films fell short by a few crores, which resulted in Housefull 4, Uri: The Surgical Strike and Kabir Singh taking the lead to claim supremacy. However, Hrithik took a recent report like a sport and gave a witty reply.
According to a report by boxofficeindia, the Fahad Samji multi-starrer has grabbed the 12th spot in Mumbai's top-grossing films of all time. Housefull 4 collected Rs 79.25 crore, while War made Rs 77.42 crore in Mumbai. But looks like Sasha’s Kabir Singh and Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike have stolen the thunder as they have raked in Rs 87.21 crore and Rs 84.11 crore respectively this year in Mumbai itself.
