The Supreme Court delivered a historic, landmark judgement on 6 September as it partially struck down the archaic, oppressive Section 377 of IPC, decriminalising homosexuality. While reading his judgment on Section 377 of the IPC, Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra noted, “I am what I am. So take me as I am. No one can escape from their individuality”.

The trailer of Namaste England, starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, has just been released. Produced and directed by Vipul Shah, it revolves around a couple’s relationship across borders.
Namaste England interestingly, picks up the thread of the traditional love story after the happily ever after, that is after Arjun and Parineeti’s characters tie the knot. Parineeti decides to move to England, and Arjun follows suit - possibly the illegal way - to save his lost love.

The President of India Ram Nath Kovind paid a visit to the Brahmastra crew on the sets in Bulgaria along with the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev. Kovind took to the official Instagram account of the President to share a picture with the squad - Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, the director Ayan Mukerji and others. He is on an eight-day three-nation visit to Europe as a part of India’s high-level engagements with European countries.

Actor Shahid Kapoor's Twitter and Instagram accounts were hacked on Thursday, 6 September. Posts related to his film Padmaavat and other pictures were shared alongside what appears to be text in Turkish. It seems to have been engineered by Turkish cyber outfit Ayyildiz Tim, which is believed to have attacked the accounts of Abhishek Bachchan, Anupam Kher and other celebrities earlier.

Television actor Payal Chakraborty has been found dead in a hotel room in Siliguri, north Bengal, under mysterious circumstances, police said.
Chakraborty, a resident of South Kolkata, has appeared in multiple TV soaps and web series.
"Payal was found hanging from the ceiling of her hotel room Wednesday morning. She had checked into the hotel the evening before," Siliguri police commissionerate DCP Gourab Lal said.
