1. Complainant in Karan Oberoi Rape Case Arrested

Mumbai Police on Monday, 17 June, said the woman who accused actor Karan Oberoi of rape has been arrested and accused of filing a false complaint against the actor. She’s also been accused of orchestrating an attack on herself shortly after the initial FIR was filed.

But the complainant has reportedly denied the claims and alleged that it is her own lawyer who has framed her.

In case you’re one of the many holding their breath in excitement for Disney’s The Lion King which releases later this year, there’s some even more exciting news for you. Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan will be lending their voice for King Mufasa and his son Simba respectively in the Hindi version of Disney's upcoming live-action film The Lion King.

Taran Adarsh made the official announcement on Monday.

3. Didn’t Speak to SRK for 16 Years After ‘Darr’, Confesses Sunny

The tiff that Sunny Deol had on the sets of 1993 Yash Raj Films thriller Darr has been much talked about. Now, in a recent interview, the Gadar star has revealed that he didn’t speak to his co-star Shah Rukh Khan for 16 years after working on the film together.

In a clip from an upcoming episode of Aap Ki Adalat, host Rajat Sharma asks Sunny why everyone from the producers of Darr to his co-stars were rumoured to have been afraid of him. “Perhaps it’s because they knew they were wrong,” he said.

4. Vidyut Jammwal Acquitted in 2007 Assault Case

A Mumbai court has acquitted Vidyut Jammwal and his friend in a 2007 assault case. Metropolitan magistrate Pragati Yerlekar acquitted Jammwal and his friend Rishant Goswami of all the charges levelled against them. Details of the order are awaited.

Jammwal and his friend had been accused of hitting a resident of Juhu, Rahul Suri, with a bottle at a five-star hotel in suburban Santacruz in August 2007.
