From Radhika Apte to Kalki Koechlin and even Vidya Balan, actors have spoken about their casting couch experiences. The latest actor to open up is Zareen Khan. In an interview to Pinkvilla, Zareen said that she had experienced casting couch on two occasions during her initial days in the industry.
She spoke about one of the horrific instances at length when a director asked her to rehearse a kissing scene.

After the success of Mission Mangal, Vidya Balan is gearing up for the biopic on mathematical whiz Shakuntala Devi. The first look of the character is out, and Vidya has a striking resemblance to the “human computer”, as Devi was known.
The actor took to Twitter to reveal her new look through a motion poster. Sporting a saree with her hair done in a short bob, Vidya is ready to own the role.

On Sunday, Alia Bhatt gave us a glimpse of her evening plans which involved Karan Johar and his upcoming period drama Takht. The Kalank actor shared a boomerang on her Instagram which shows a coffee mug with the word ‘Takht’ printed on it and Karan Johar who sits in front of her. Karan is dressed in a red shirt and a floral blazer. Immersed in Takht prep, it seems like Karan Johar is speaking to someone else in the room.

Vanraj Bhatia won the National Award for Best Music for Govind Nihalani’s Tamas in 1988 Aand the Padma Shri in 2012. At 92, the veteran music composer, who carved his niche with his distinct notes in the art cinema circuit of the seventies and the eighties, says that he is has no money. He is also battling old-age ailments.
“I don’t even have a rupee in my bank account,” Bhatia told Mumbai Mirror, as he battles memory lapses, severe knee pain and hearing problem.

The 71st Emmy Awards kicked off last weekend with the Creative Art Emmys being handed out over two nights on Saturday 15 September and Sunday 16 September. The Creative Arts Emmys are presented in recognition of technical and behind-the-scenes achievements in US television.
HBO’s blockbuster series Game of Thrones was the biggest winner, taking home 10 Emmys for its final season. The hard-hitting docudrama Chernobyl, also on HBO, walked away with seven. Meanwhile Amazon Prime Video’s hit comedy series The Marvelous Mrs Maisel earned six trophies.
