Deepika Goes Glam With Kendall Jenner in New York

Deepika Padukone is in New York as a guest for The Youth Anxiety Center Dinner, an event organised for creating mental health awareness. At the event held by the New York Presbyterian Hospital , the actor met none other than supermodel Kendall Jenner and also posted a photograph with her. The two were all smiles as Deepika wrote, “I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful soul..I wish you all the joy in the world and peace of mind..always! @kendalljenner.”
Deepika sported a Alberta Ferretti pantsuit paired with dangling earrings, while Kendall is seen in an orange bodycon dress. An advocate of mental health awareness, the Piku actor had earlier shared photographs of her and said that her experience with mental illness has taught her a lot. “Mental illness has presented society with a very tough challenge... But my experience with the illness has taught me so much;to be patient for one...but most importantly that there is ‘Hope’!,” she wrote.
Deepika thanked host Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, for inviting her to the event. In a video shared by her, the actor is seen sharing her experience with the people at the charity dinner and saying, “The toughest part for me was in the months when I didn’t know what was happening to me. The day I understood that there is a name to it and it is ‘clinical depression’, I already started feeling better. If there is anything that I have learnt in the journey of recovery, is patience and that there is hope.”
She is also the founder of ‘The Live Love Laugh Foundation’, which she created to help spread mental health awareness after her own experience with depression. On the work front, Deepika will be seen alongside Ranveer Singh in the upcoming film 83, directed by Kabir Khan.
