It’s been a year since Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married. They began the special day by seeking blessings of the almighty at Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh. Now, a day after their anniversary the couple landed in Amritsar to visit the Golden Temple. Deepika wore a maroon salwar suit with heavy jewellery, and Ranveer sported a sherwani. She took to Instagram to share a photo.
The two’s families were also present at the Golden Temple.
At Tirupati, Deepika looked stunning in a red saree teamed with heavy jewellery, Ranveer stole the show in a sherwani. The duo colour-coordinated their outfit. Deepika took to Instagram to share a photo of the duo with the temple in the background. “As we celebrate our first wedding anniversary,we seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.Thank You all for your love,prayers and good wishes!,” she wrote.
A video has also surfaced of the couple posing for photographs in front of the temple.
On Wednesday, 13 November, Deepika shared an Instagram story about how Ranveer was preparing for the special day. Ranveer Singh is seen sitting in a salon under steamer with a face mask on.
With the picture, Deepika wrote, “In preparation for his first wedding anniversary, Ranveer Singh.”
To mark the occasion, the couple has a hectic, but exciting, three-day trip planned. They started their day by heading down South and then up North. Their trip will be a religious one steeped in India’s traditions.
After Tirupati, the couple will fly to Amritsar, Punjab. There, they will visit the Golden Temple and seek blessings. Their travel itinerary ends on 15 November. The actors will be embarking on this voyage with their family and the entire family will return back to Mumbai on 15 November.
Deepika and Ranveer had gotten married in Lake Como, Italy on 14 November. They solemnised their relationship after six years of dating each other. Ranveer and Deepika first met each other on the sets on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela.
