On Tuesday, Sonali Bendre took to Instagram to mark her 17th wedding anniversary. In the post, Sonali thanked her husband Goldie Behl for always sticking by her as well as talked about how her cancer diagnosis changed him for the better. She also described her current priority as “ my motto has been to move on & keep trying new things, and detoxing and rejuvenating is on top of the list.”
She wrote, “This day, last year... we were in New York at the hospital. Since then, the Bendre-Behls have identified two time periods - B.C. (Before Cancer) and A.C. (After Cancer). Lately, my motto has been to move on & keep trying new things, and detoxing and rejuvenating is on top of the list. So on the occasion of our 17th wedding anniversary, I thought let’s take a break and go on a road trip to @atmantan. Before Cancer, Goldie would have never agreed to something like this but I love how he's changed. He has put everything on standby and has been focusing so much on me... and now I'm turning the focus back on him.
P.S. Happy Anniversary @goldiebehl, I love you more than you could imagine... thank you for being my pillar of strength in health & sickness... literally!”

In 2018, Sonali Bendre had first opened up about her cancer diagnosis. Ever since, the 44-year-old has shared her experiences, struggles and recovery stories on social media — all optimistic, emotional and extraordinarily inspiring.
In July, Sonali took to Instagram to share a special post marking the one year anniversary of receiving her cancer diagnosis. It was exactly one year ago that Sonali had shared her diagnosis with the world.
Sonali shared a picture symbolising two sides of her journey: her with a full head of hair before the cancer and her with a shaved head after. Along with the picture she shared a poem by Rupi Kaur. “It’s been a year... I can’t tell you how instrumental YOU ALL have been... Thank you for helping me get through this and for helping me. #SwitchOnTheSunshine #Gratitude #BeFearless#OneDayAtATime #MyNewNormal”
