TV star Anita Hassanandani, known for her recent roles in the hit shows Naagin 3 and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, is hard at work rehearsing for her stint on the latest instalment of popular dance competition series Nach Baliye. According to reports, Anita has been practising for over 14 hours every day to ensure she brings her A-game to Nach Baliye 9.

Anita last appeared on Naagin 3 and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein which were airing simultaneously. Clearly, she doesn’t want her fans to miss her as she has already shot for the premiere episode of the season and is neck deep in rehearsal for the rest of the competition.

Anita spoke to Times of India about why it took her so long to appear on the dance reality show.

“I always wanted to be a part of Nach Baliye. There’s a right time for everything and I think this was the perfect time for me to take up this show. It took me many years to convince my baliye (partner) to do this show. Apart from this Naagin 3 just ended and I had all the time in hand. This is a show which needs 100 per cent focus and I now have all the time.”

Reportedly, Anita is the highest paid celebrity on Nach Baliye 9, receiving Rs 30 lakh per episode. This has apparently not gone over so well with the other contestants. When asked about the controversary, Anita said, "I wouldn't know that because I don't know how much others are getting paid, but I am really happy with what I am getting."

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is producing Nach Baliye 9 and will also appear on the premiere episode. Maniesh Paul is handling the hosting duties. Nach Baliye 9 will start airing on TV from July 19.
