Big B, Anupam Kher & B’Town Mourn Manohar Parrikar’s Demise

The Goa CM and former defence minister passed away on Sunday, 17 March.

Bollywood celebs such as Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher and Vicky Kaushal have taken to social media to condole the demise of Goa Chief Minister and former defence minister Manohar Parrikar, who passed away at the age of 63 on 17 March, after battling cancer.

Big B remembered Parrikar as a “gentle, soft spoken and simple-minded person” who “fought his illness with dignity and great spirit”.

Randeep Hooda recalled meeting Parrikar during his stint as India’s defence minister and described him as a “man of few words, simple, epitome of integrity and efficiency, a straight shooter”.

Anupam Kher noted that the late Goa CM “had a great quality of inspiring people so effortlessly”.
