Big B also wrote about how the deed had been achieved with the support of CRPF seniors. “It took a while to get the names and addresses of those that lost their lives, but our efforts were fruitful, even when we had given the intention, and sought advice or indication of how I could help them ..,” he added.

The actor also wrote about how, just like the loan-clearing event, he wanted this one to be done within the premises of his office Janak, so that his children Abhishek and Shweta could also be a part of it and receive the blessings and affection of the families.

On 12 June, it was reported that Amitabh Bachchan had cleared the loans of around 2,100 farmers in Bihar. He also took to Twitter to announce that “T 3192 - .. deed done .. more tomorrow”.

Here’s what he wrote on his blog while making the announcement: “A promise made done... the farmers from Bihar that had outstanding loans, picked 2,100 of them and paid off their amount with a OTS (One Time Settlement) with the bank... called some of them over to Janak and personally gave it to them at the hands of Shweta and Abhishek.”

Previously also Amitabh Bachchan has helped provide aid to farmers in the states of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
