Karan Johar for the first time admitted that his role as the baddie, Kaizad Khambatta, in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet, last year was nothing short of a disaster. On Wednesday evening, while speaking to the media at the launch of the trailer of Kapoor & Sons, produced by Dharma Productions, Karan said that though he wants to act more often, no roles have been offered to him.

No one has offered me any film after Bombay Velvet. It was such a disastrous debut that I did not get any single offer.

The 43-year-old filmmaker went on to joke that no one was going to offer him a lead role and while the supporting actor roles were also not coming by, even his own director, Shakun Batra, did not give him a part in Kapoor & Sons.
