Salman Khan will begin shooting for the third instalment in the highly successful Dabangg franchise on 1 April and he shared a video with co-star Arbaaz Khan on Instagram to mark the occasion. The sequel is being directed by Prabhu Deva who will be working with Salman after 10 years.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on Twitter, saying “BIGGG NEWS... Salman Khan - director Prabhu Dheva reunite after #Wanted, after 10 years... The third instalment in #Dabangg film series is ready to take off... #Dabangg3 shoot begins tomorrow [1 April 2019]... Chulbul Pandey is back!”
Later, Salman posted a video on his Instagram where he and brother Arbaaz Khan, who also produces and co-stars in the Dabangg films, are seen on a flight on their way to the shoot. The Khan brothers shared that they were in Indore which happens to be their birthplace and were going to Maheshwar where their grandfather was posted in the police force. Salman captioned the video, “Back in our birthplace for #Dabangg3 shoot.” Take a look.
This is Prabhu Deva’s first time helming the franchise and he had earlier worked with Salman in Wanted. The first two Dabangg films were directed by Abhinav Kashyap and Arbaaz Khan respectively. Sonakshi Sinha is expected to join Dabangg 3 as Chulbul Pandey’s wife Rajjo.
