Bhai’s film is nothing short of a festival for his ardent fans who descend from different parts of the country to make it to the first day first show. This bunch at Chandan Cinema in Mumbai stayed up all night to decorate the theatre. They apparently adorned it with about 5000 pictures of Salman Khan. One of the fans who has Salman’s tattoos etched on her body is also aware that Bhai is not in favour of tattoo art. She is thrilled about Salman’s depictions on her skin but she won’t be brandishing those since she is not willing to do anything that Bhai does not like.

The Salman Khan starrer Race 3, an action thriller, is produced jointly by Ramesh S. Taurani and Salman. The cast also includes Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem. In a departure from the earlier instalments, this vehicle powered by Bhai, is directed by Remo D’Souza. All the shenanigans expected of Bhai fans laced this opening too. The film has raked in Rs 29.17 crore on its first day. It has already emerged the top opener of the year and has found a place for itself in the top 20 openers of all time.

Anil Kapoor is the common denominator in the three instalments of Race. Praising Anil, Salman had said in an interview: "I think if there is any replacement to Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, then it is Anil Kapoor."

Thanking him, Anil tweeted on Thursday: "Thank you Salman Khan, for your generosity! Replacing Mr. Bachchan is an impossible dream. He is the only one of his kind. But I'm really honoured and humbled that you took my name in the same breath as him."
