Salman Khan’s much-awaited Tubelight has finally hit theatres. But it isn’t bringing audiences to the theatre in the way his previous hits have.

The film collected Rs 21.17 crore on day two at the box-office, according to a report by trade analyst, Taran Adarsh.

Tubelight's current collection now stands at Rs. 42.32 crore.

The film also stars Sohail Khan, Zhu Zhu and Matin Rey Tangu. It is set against the Indo-China war of 1962.

Salman’s previous releases on Eid have had huge opening day collections, the highest being 2016's Sultan, which made over Rs. 36 crore.

Despite it, Tubelight has managed to open as the second highest film of the year.

We will have to see if the box-office collections improve on Eid which falls on Monday.
