Tiger Shroff has an action-packed few months ahead of him. Sajid Nadiadwala’s Baaghi 3, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor, goes on floors in July after which he will reportedly begin work on the Hindi adaptation of Sylvester Stallone blockbuster Rambo.
“Rambo is primarily known for its action but I can promise you that in my film, the story will resonate too with our audience. It’s a story that needs to be told, given the present political dynamics in the country,” he said.
The Rambo film franchise is based on David Morrell’s 1972 novel First Blood about John Rambo, a Vietnam War veteran and former US Army Special Forces Soldier. The series includes four films - First Blood (1982), Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985). Rambo III (1988) and Rambo (2008) - with Rambo V: Last Blood scheduled to release in September this year.
Tiger Shroff was last seen opposite Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday in Student of the Year 2 directed by Punit Malhotra. He will be seen in Baaghi 3 opposite Shraddha Kapoor.
Taran Adarsh recently put out the comparative earnings of Baaghi, Baaghi 2 and Student of the Year 2. Baaghi 2 topped the charts with Rs. 112.85 crore, while SOTY 2 earned only Rs 57 crores in the first week of its release.
Student of the Year 2 is a sequel to 2012 film Student of the Year, which launched the careers of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. It has been directed by Punit Malhotra and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
