Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30 has earned Rs 75.85 crore in its first week. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, audiences in metros are primarily driving the film’s business.
Super 30 crossed the 50 crore mark in the first three days since its release on 12 July. Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “ #Super30 has an excellent weekend... Performed exceptionally well at multiplexes of metros and Tier-2 cities, while mass circuits also saw a healthy trend... Fri 11.83 cr, Sat 18.19 cr, Sun 20.74 cr. Total: ₹ 50.76 cr. India biz.”
Earlier, Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30 had picked up well on its second day. After collecting Rs 11.83 crore on Friday, the collections of the film rose to Rs 18.19 crore on Saturday. The domestic revenue of the film now stands at Rs 30.02 crore and it could in all probability have a Rs 50 crore weekend.
Super 30 had a decent opening at the box office on Friday 12 July as it collected a gross of Rs 11.83 crore.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the news, writing, “#Super30 has a decent Day 1... Biz picked up at metros/urban centres [Mumbai and South specifically] towards evening... Mass pockets are ordinary/dull... Should witness growth on Day 2 and 3... Sustaining and proving its mettle on weekdays crucial... Fri ₹ 11.83 cr. India biz.”
Super 30 is based on the real life story of mathematics professor Anand Kumar who started a special program to help 30 smart but underprivileged students prepare for entrance exams for the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). Hrithik plays the role of Anand in the film.
