Sultan BO Collection China: Salman Khan Film Disappoints on Day 1

‘Sultan’ is Salman Khan’s second film to release in China after ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.

Sultan, Salman Khan’s second film and YRF’s first to release in China, has had a rather disappointing start. The film, which also stars Anushka Sharma, earned $ 940,000 or around Rs 6.66 crore against 36,474 showings on the first day. Salman’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan on the other hand had earned $2.25 million on day 1 with 19,892 showings.

Expectations were high around the Salman Khan film. The Ali Abbas Zafar-directed film is facing tough competition from the Tom Cruise-starrer Mission: Impossible – Fallout.
