Soorma revolves around Singh’s comeback into the game despite his debilitating injury. The film’s tagline is “The Greatest Comeback Story of the Hockey Legend Sandeep Singh”.
India won the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup and also qualified for the 2012 Olympics in London under his captaincy.
The makers had earlier released a creative with the photographs of Diljit and Sandeep with the message #DontLetThisStoryPass. The trailer also features Tapsee Pannu who plays a pivotal role in the film.
Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh and Deepak Singh, the film is set to hit theatres on 13 July.
