Along the way, he puts his own life at risk to save his fellow countrymen from dangerous situations. In return, they come together to make sure he returns to his base camp in time.
Satellite Shankar has been directed by Irfan Kamal and features the Bollywood debut of South Indian actor Megha Akash, who plays Sooraj’s love interest in the film.

Speaking about the film, Sooraj said in a statement, “I was super stoked to be a part of this project especially because it's a real story about the life of a jawan. This movie has got nothing to do with international relations, it's just a heart-wrenching story about the brave hearts that is so raw and pure that it had to be told.”
The film has been shot across India, including in Punjab, South India, and near the Indo-China border in Himachal Pradesh. Sooraj has announced that he will donate part of his earnings to the army base camps in these regions. “Its been such an incredible journey and experience shooting for this movie. Meeting the real jawans shooting at real locations meeting the family, all of it has been extremely beautiful. We are living here because of them. They live at borders to protect us. There are days where they don't speak to their families because of where they live. It's a very small deed from my end,” he said.
Satellite Shankar releases on 15 November.
