Shahid, Kiara Wrap up Shoot of ‘Arjun Reddy’ Remake ‘Kabir Singh’

On Friday, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani officially wrapped up the shoot of their upcoming romantic drama Kabir Singh. After shooting in Delhi, Uttarakhand, and Mumbai, Shahid and the team of Kabir Singh concluded the schedule with a small get together. Kabir Singh is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy that originally starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey.
Getting real with his online fans, Shahid Kapoor recently posted a very honest photo of himself on Instagram. A collage of Shahid’s physical transformation for the shoot of Kabir Singh, the photo easily encapsulates how close the film is to Shahid’s heart.
“As a star one is so conditioned to showcasing oneself at ones best. But as an actor one has to have the guts to show yourself at your worst. #kabirsingh in my blood. Hope you feel him too”, Shahid captioned the photo.
Earlier, the makers of Kabir Singh released the first teaser of the film on 8 April. In the teaser Shahid is seen in different avatars. First as a loud and brash college student who takes an affection for Kiara Advani’s character. Then we see glimpses of him as a hard-drinking, coke-snorting doctor. So far the film film seems to be translating the style of Arjun Reddy very accurately.
Kabir Singh is written and directed by Sandeep Vanga who was also the writer/director of the Telugu version.
