‘Secret Superstar’ Trailer: Zaira Wasim Shines Over Aamir Khan

The ‘Dangal’ girl seems to have turned around another superb performance.

Aamir Khan is all geared up for his next film Secret Superstar. With the hugely talented Zaira Wasim in the lead, the film revolves around the story of a young Muslim girl from Baroda who dreams of becoming a star singer. Fighting against her father’s old-fashioned strictures, she secretly takes to social media to share her music with the world - all thanks to the encouragement she receives from sleazy-superstar-singer Shakti Kumar aka Aamir Khan.

While Aamir Khan is suitably creepy, it is Zaira who is a treat to watch in the trailer. After her Dangal turn, she is back playing another passionate character who would stop at nothing to make her dreams come true. There are also glimpses of the roles talent shows and social media play in today’s stardom and it would be interesting to see how the film explores that. And hopefully, we can look forward to some good music as well!

Directed by Advait Chandan and co-starring Meher Vij and Raj Arjun, Secret Superstar is all set to release this Diwali.
