Salman Khan fans might have to suffer a little disappointment as the actor announced that Inshallah, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial he was to star in, has been pushed and won’t be releasing on Eid 2020, as it was earlier scheduled.
However, this loss might have led to Akshay Kumar’s gain, as just hours later, Laxmmi Bomb’s release date was announced to be on Eid 2020. This came as a surprise since Eid is known to be the time when Salman releases his films.
Taran Adarsh made the announcement on Twitter, “ #LaxmmiBomb to release on #Eid2020 [22 May 2020]... Stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani... Raghava Lawrence directs.”
He ditched the Eid weekend in 2013, and returned during the festival time in 2014 with Kick, followed by Bajrangi Bhaijaan in 2015 and Sultan in 2016. His next three Eid releases - Tubelight, Race and Bharat - failed to garner as good a response as his previous hits. Fans were eagerly waiting for him to return with Inshallah, but they will have to wait a little longer now.
However, Salman has also hinted at the possibility of releasing another film on Eid next year. Salman tweeted, “The film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is pushed but I will still see you all on Eid, 2020. Insha-Allah!!
