Salman Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar’s film, Bharat, which is being pitted as the actor’s “patriotic pitch”, will have one of India’s most difficult chapters, the Partition of 1947.
According to a report in DNA, “Salman will sport five different looks in Bharat, which begins with him witnessing one of the most dramatic chapters of our history — the Partition. It’s an Indian adaptation of the Korean movie, Ode to My Father and will be a commercial film with a mix of action, drama and music.”
Other significant chapters about Indian history will also make its way in Bharat. When contacted, Ali confirmed,
According to reports, the shooting for Bharat will take place in Abu Dhabi, Spain, Punjab and Delhi. “The Partition sequences will be shot in Punjab, keeping in mind the minute details which have been researched over the last three months. Original steam engines will be used for this shoot along with art, costumes, and nuances, which will give the feel of that era,” said Ali.
Bharat will be Salman’s Eid release next year.
