Based on Vikram Chandra’s critically acclaimed epic novel, Netflix is all set to release Sacred Games as an eight episode thriller on their platform on 6 July. The mini-series follows the twisted journey of Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan), a cynical police officer, and Anjali Mathur (Radhika Apte), an intelligence officer. The two get entangled into a mysterious web woven the powerful criminal overlord, Ganesh Gaitonde, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Netflix’s Sacred Games is the first Indian Netflix original series. The series captures a glimpse of the intriguing world set in the dark underbelly of Mumbai. It is where politics, crime and passion come together in a deadly game. It premiers on 6 July, exclusively on Netflix. The show has been directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, and will be available worldwide.
