If anyone is familiar with imprudent trolls and their merciless persistence, it is Richa Chadha. Not one to take things lying down, the vociferous actor, yet again slammed a troll and refused to be silenced with violent online threats. In fact, ‘troll’ would be a mild word for a perpetrator of the kind, she recently encountered online.
Taking a dig at paid trolls, she pointed out and underscored the veiled rape and murder threats posed by a handle going by the name of Adv. Vivek Garg, whose bio vehemently carries the words ‘hater’ and ‘communal’. She went on to demand action from the platform of Twitter.
She even tagged Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter and questioned the accountability of the social media platform. Chadha drew attention to his pinned tweet which reads:
Pooja Bhatt supported the actor and egged her on to report the case.
Chadha also demolished the ‘whataboutery’ of another troll in the same thread.
So, will Twitter stand up to these blatant intimidators? Will it step up its war against abusive accounts?
