Based on Charan Singh Pathik’s short story Do Behnein, Vishal Bhardwaj’s comedy drama, Patakha features Sanya Malhotra, Radhika Madan and Sunil Grover. Earlier titled Chhuri, Bhardwaj believed that people would confuse it with Chhodiyaan or Chhoriyaan. The poster is out and the film looks ‘explosive’ indeed.
The tale revolves around two sisters, Badki and Chhutki, who grow up in a small village in Rajasthan incessantly sparring with each other but realise what they mean to each other when they are separated after marriage. Sanya Malhotra made her debut with Aamir Khan’s Dangal.
The film is set to hit screens on 28 September.
