Gowariker Announces ‘Panipat’ Starring Arjun Kapoor & Sanjay Dutt

After the dismal run of the Hrithik Roshan starrer Mohenjo Daro at the ticket window, Gowariker has now announced another period drama, Panipat based on the third battle of Panipat, where the Maratha Empire faced defeat at hands of the invading Afghan forces of Ahmad Shah Durrani.

From Padmaavat to Manikarnika to Kesari, B-Town seems to be riding on the wave of historicals and war epics.

Kriti Sanon posted a picture of the poster on Twitter.

The upcoming fill marks many firsts - Arjun Kapoor will be teaming up with both Gowariker and co-actor Sanjay Dutt for the first time.

Gowariker’s Lagaan and Jodha Akbar were huge hits.
