Chol Homa Roshay , written by Habba Khatoon who was also referred to as the ‘Nightingale of Kashmir’, was originally a folk song inspired by Kashmir’s rich heritage. It was first sung by Ali Saifuddin, a celebrated young singer from Kashmir. The composers, who’ve worked on this rendition for No Fathers In Kashmir, played around with Alif Saifuddin’s vocals by using unique instruments like Cristal Baschet.
No Fathers In Kashmir is directed by Oscar nominated director Ashvin Kumar who has also previously won two National Awards. The film features a talented star cast including Ashvin Kumar, Soni Razdan, Anshuman Jha and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. The film will release on 5 April.
