Nawazuddin Siddiqui to Play an Exorcist in ‘Housefull 4’

The film stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon and Riteish Deshmukh.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is set to make an appearance in comedy franchise Housefull 4. While the shooting of the movie wrapped last November, the Sacred Games star will film a special song sequence with the cast in which he plays a baba who lives in a den with 300 disciples, reports Mumbai Mirror. His character, an exorcist, will reportedly be used to introduce an important plot twist.

Housefull 4 features an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol and has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film found itself at the centre of controversy in October last year when director Sajid Khan stepped down following allegations of sexual harassment that came to light during the #MeToo movement that hit Bollywood. Farhad Samji was brought on board as his replacement.

Nawazuddin previously worked with Sajid Nadiadwala five years ago in Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez-starrer Kick. He was last seen opposite Dangal actor Sanya Malhotra in Ritesh Batra directorial Photograph, which had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and was also part of the Berlin International Film Festival.
