Actor Sidharth Malhotra has been roped in to play a double-role in the Hindi remake of 2019 Tamil hit Thadam. According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, he will essay the roles of a businessman and thief. The film, which will go to the floors on May in Delhi, marks Vardhan Ketka’s debut as a director, while Murad Khetani and Bhushan Kumar will play producers to the production. The team is yet to choose a female lead. Written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni, Tamil feature Thadam featured Arun Vijay in the lead.
The trailer of the upcoming Zee5 and AltBalaji show called Mentalhood just dropped. The show is produced by Ekta Kapoor and stars Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Suri, Dino Morea, Tillotama Shome, Sandhya Mridul, Shilpa Shukla and Shruti Seth.
The show follows the story of five mothers as they try to navigate through the ups and downs of motherhood. Mentalhood is directed by Karishma Kohli.
The Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday announced a three-month exemption from the State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) for Taapsee Pannu's upcoming release Thappad. The film, directed by Anubhav Sinha, deals with the issue of domestic violence and is set to hit theatres on Friday. A top official of the Commercial Tax Department said the film was exempted from SGST in view of its subject and messag. “Single-screen cinemas and multiplexes have been asked not to collect SGST on tickets of the film,” they said.

Rajinikanth’s next film will be titled Annaatthe, revealed producers Sun Pictures on Tuesday. The film, touted to be a family friendly action drama, will be directed by Siva and will also star Keerthy Suresh, Khushbu, Meena, Prakash Raj and Soori.
