Prachi Desai, who was last seen in Rock On 2, is traversing new territories with her upcoming film Kosha. Described as a “dark urban fairy tale”, the film revolves around a disruptive girl who’s a rock band member with a history of “alcohol and substance abuse”. But that’s not all, her character is reportedly based on an original comic strip.

According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Kosha is an urban fantasy film helmed by late filmmaker Raj Kanwar’s sons, Abhay and Karan. Prachi’s character is in fact based on an anime-style comic series penned by Abhay himself. The film retains “60 per cent of the comics” in the screenplay, said Abhay.

Prachi Desai took to Twitter to share the resemblance and her look:

Directed by debutant Amman Advaita, the film is a “twisted” retelling of “several classic fairy tales” and is being currently shot in Madh Island. The producers aim to take the film to the festival circuit later this year.

Prachi Desai is clearly pushing boundaries here.
