Rumours that Asim Riaz and Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan will make their debut in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 3 have been flying around, but it looks like the Bigg Boss 13 runner up will have to wait a bit longer for his big break. The director was forced to dismiss the speculations on Twitter and called them “absolutely baseless”.

“Absolutely baseless stories making the rounds of SOTY3!!!! My request to everyone publishing this fabrication is to kindly Stop! Please!” he tweeted.

Bigg Boss 13 ended on 15 February, with Siddharth Shukla the winner and his foe-turned-friend Asim Riaz the runner-up. This edition was one of the longest and most controversial seasons of the reality TV show. The show concluded in a grand finale with Sidharth and Asim having a dance off to the song ‘Ghamand Kar’ and Shehnaz, Paras and Mahira grooving to ‘Dheeme Dheeme’ from Pati, Patni Aur Woh. Host Salman Khan also took the stage and relived his memories from the Big Boss house.

Suhana is currently studying acting in New York. She has featured in a play Juliet, which was staged in London, and in the short film The Grey Part of Blue, which has been directed by fellow student Theodore Gimeno. In a 2018 interview with Vogue, SRK insisted that he wasn’t going to launch his daughter’s Bollywood career just for the sake of it. “Suhana's not working towards a promise of being cast, she's working towards being an actor, and she knows that. I keep insisting that I don't want them (his kids) designed as stars, I want them to be launched when they are good-enough actors,” he said.
