Kangana Ranaut has begun next project, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi with a bang. The actress is training in sword-fighting under the guidance of Hollywood stunt director, Nick Powell.
Nick has been a part of acclaimed Hollywood projects like Braveheart, The Bourne Identity, Resident Evil: Retribution, The Three Musketeers, The Last Samurai, among others.
In an interview with Pune Mirror, the actor opened up about her next film.
Because Manikarnika is an action film, Kangana is training in sword fighting. She spoke about how they’ve begun with the basics in combat. “The action is detailed in the script Vijayendra sir (KV Vijayendra Prasad) has written. Nick was figuring out if my wrists are flexible so I can fight with both hands and is happy with the result.”
Kangana also admitted that the process is exhausting and it will take a lot from the actress to get it right. She also added that the film couldn’t have been made without having her character being a trained warrior with action-packed sequences.
Having Nick for a trainer is only pushing her to give it her everything. “I am really grateful my producers are sparing no expense.”
