‘Kalank’ Trailer Hints at a Varun-Alia-Aditya Love Triangle

The much-awaited trailer of the extravagant period drama Kalank is finally out. And it’s as grand as we imagined it to be. Set in pre-Independence India, the film is described as “a story of turbulent relationships and eternal love” by Karan Johar himself.

The teaser of the film released a few weeks ago and completely took the audience’s breath away.
The ensemble cast of the film includes Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sonakshni Sinha. It is directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala.
Three songs from the film, Ghar More Pardesiya, First Class, and Kalank Hai Ishq Nahi have been released and have already received much appreciation from the audience.
In an Instagram post, Karan Johar wrote about how Kalank was very close to his heart as it was his father’s dream to watch it come to life. He also called it a “story of turbulent relationships and eternal love”.
The film is slated to be released on 17 April 2019.
