The Shah Rukh Khan-Preity Zinta-Saif Ali Khan-starrer Kal Ho Na Ho released 15 years ago today. Produced by Karan Johar and directed by Nikhil Advani, Kal Ho Na Ho follows the story of Naina (Preity Zinta) an introvert living in New York who is unhappy with her life till she meets Aman (Shah Rukh Khan), who teaches her how to live again.
Karan Johar shared an emotional message on social media recalling that this film was his father, Yash Johar’s last release before he passed away.
Preity Zinta, who was incidentally not the first choice for the role of this film, told PTI in an interview:
“It was very special to me because I lost my first love. I was in love with him, he was not. I felt strongly when the film was offered to me. Some of the best things have happened to me during that film.”

Preity Zinta reminisces 15 years later :
“It was one of those films that filled me with joy but it broke our hearts as well. It was a roller coaster ride... It is a timeless film. I am fortunate that I was a part of it.”
