Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal is not getting rave reviews in the Middle East where the film has already been released.

A movie review in Gulf News calls the film “a honeymoon that turned sour”.

Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal is a romantic comedy about finding love and discovering oneself. It will also have Shah Rukh Khan go back to doing what he does best, romance his heroine.

According to the review in Gulf News, the first half of the film doesn’t disappoint.

But the first half of the film has some golden moments between the lead pair. Harry and Sejal warm up to us instantly with their easy camaraderie and chemistry. Conversations flow easy and we trip over their blossoming friendship. It’s potent with possibilities. So far, so good.

“But the second half spirals into this cloyingly intense and melodramatic territory,” it said.

According to the review in Khaleej Times, the scenic beauty keeps the audience hooked even as the plot derails post the interval.

Jab Harry Met Sejal is shot in the beautiful locations of Prague, Berlin, Holland, Amsterdam. So, while you are lost wondering where the movie is heading, the scenic beauty keeps you hooked. The movie goes through its ebb and flow, and all you can do is enjoy the good bits, till they last.
