My Audition Was My Social Media Account: Dhadak’s Ishaan Khatter

The young actor gets candid about how he landed a role in ‘Dhadak’, opposite Janhvi Kapoor.

As Dhadak nears its release date, Ishaan Khatter seems to be visibly excited about the upcoming film, with co-star Janhvi Kapoor. In an exclusive interview with Harper’s Bazaar India, the young actor got candid about how he landed a role in Dhadak, produced by Karan Johar.

“My audition was my social media account, I think. Karan’s [Johar] team had seen some of my videos on Instagram - Dubsmashes and things - and then I had a series of meetings with him.”

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Dhadak has been co-produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions. The film, a remake of the Marathi Sairat is scheduled to release nationwide on 20 July. Here is the official trailer of the film:
