1. Sonali Bendre Is a Fighter: Akshay Kumar Visits Her in New York

Sonali Bendre Behl took to Twitter on 4 July to reveal that she has been diagnosed with "high grade" cancer and is currently undergoing treatment in New York.

Her co-star from the 90s, Akshay Kumar visited the actor in New York and wished her a speedy recovery. “I know that Sonali is a fighter. May God help bring her back in the best of health,” Akshay told Hindustan Times.

2. ‘Sanju’ BO: The Ranbir Kapoor Film Waltzes Past the Rs 150-Cr Mark

As the Sanjay Dutt biopic continues to receive rave reviews, the audience has sealed Sanju’s fate: it is a hit.

Sanju has created a new record at the box-office by collecting Rs 46.71 crore on Sunday, making it the highest single day collection by an Indian film. This record was previously held by Baahubali 2 which raked in Rs 46.50 cr. With this record collection, the 3-day weekend earning of Sanju was Rs 120.06 crore. The Sanjay Dutt biopic is a massive hit having collected Rs 34.75 crore on day one and its day two earnings were Rs 38.60 crore.

Now, the film has raked in Rs 167.51 crore in 5 days, with ticket sales showing no signs of dipping even on weekdays.

4. Ranbir Kapoor-Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Shamshera’ Gets a Release Date

After the phenomenal success of Sanju, where Ranbir Kapoor plays Sanjay Dutt on screen, the stars are gearing up to actually share screen space. The duo will star together in the upcoming Shamshera, which just got a release date. The Karan Malhotra film will hit the screens on 31 July 2020.

The period action-drama film, produced by Yash Raj Films, features Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist and Kapoor will be seen in the role of a dacoit. It also stars Vaani Kapoor. Shamshera will go on the floors by the end of 2018.

5. Nawazuddin Siddiqui to Play Ranveer Singh’s Coach in ‘83’?

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has reportedly been approached to play a pivotal role in Kabir Khan’s upcoming sports drama 83. The film revolves around India’s glorious win at the 1983 cricket World Cup and stars Ranveer Singh as the then captain Kapil Dev.

According to Filmfare, Nawaz has been approached to play Ranveer Singh’s coach in the film. If all goes well, this is the second time Nawazuddin will be seen working with Kabir Khan after Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Khan had said earlier former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev and members of the 1983 World Cup winning squad will be training actor Ranveer Singh in learning nitty-gritty of the the popular game for his forthcoming film.
