Sanju is unstoppable at the box office and nobody can be prouder than daddy Rishi Kapoor. He is all praises for his son. Ranbir Kapoor had once said that his father rarely praises any of his performances but this time it’s a different story. We have been seeing videos of Rishi Kapoor getting overwhelmed by his son’s performance in Sanju as Sanjay Dutt.

Talking to DNA in the wake of Sanju's success, Rishi Kapoor discusses how much appreciation Ranbir’s performance is garnering and that he’s (Rishi Kapoor) been getting congratulatory messages from friends and fans. He also talks about how impressed he is with Vicky Kaushal.

“Compliments have been pouring in for Ranbir from varied quarters. I was at the lounge at Dubai airport en route to Mumbai from Mauritius when a bunch of passengers, who had caught the film overseas, walked up to me and showered praises on my son...I was pleasantly surprised by Ranbir’s performance as Sanjay Dutt. It was subtle, sincere and so accurate.”

2. Journalist Who Broke the News of Dutt’s Arrest Trashes ‘Sanju

Veteran crime journalist Baljeet Parmar is the man who first broke the news of Sanjay Dutt’s link in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.

Veteran crime journalist Baljeet Parmar claims to have dined with Dawood Ibrahim and to have been shot at by Chhota Rajan’s men, incidentally he’s also the man who first broke the news of Sanjay Dutt’s link in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.

In a recent report, Parmar recalls how he got whiff of the fact that Dutt’s name had cropped up in the Mumbai serial blasts investigations. On 12 April 1993, one month after the blasts, Parmar made a routine visit to the Mahim police station, which was the nerve centre of the investigations. At the station, he was tipped off about the big news by a senior IPS officer, who said, “Aapke MP ke bete ka naam aa raha hai (Your MP’s son’s name is coming in the investigation)”.

3. ‘Fanney Khan’ Poster: Anil Kapoor Hides Behind a Rajinikanth Mask

The latest poster of Fanney Khan veers away from the musical motifs employed in the previous posters and amps up the quirk quotient. We see Aishwarya Rai donning a military jacket with swirling tresses in shades of violet and scarlet. She’s tied to her chair while Rajkummar Rao looks on with dread on his face. Anil Kapoor hides his face behind a Rajinikanth mask. The poster also announces the date of the trailer release.

4. Ayesha Takia Allegedly Threatened; Husband Seeks Police Help

Ayesha Takia and her sister-in-law are being allegedly harassed and threatened by an unknown individual on WhatsApp. The actor’s husband Farhan Azmi took to Twitter to seek Mumbai Police’s help, in which he also accused DCP Paramjit Singh Dahiya of ignoring his calls and refusing to hear his complaint.

Farhan Azmi later took to Twitter again to thank Deven Bharti, IPS, Mumbai Police, for his help in the matter.

5. ‘Son Chiriya’ Poster: Sushant & His Daakus All Set for Action

The first poster of Abhishek Chaubey’s Son Chiriya is out and we must say it looks intriguing. The dacoit drama set in Chambal stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranveer Shorey and Ashutosh Rana. The poster shows Sushant and his bedraggled team of daakus, all set for action.

Bhumi shared the poster on Twitter.

Coming from Chaubey, who earlier helmed Udta Punjab, Dedh Ishqiya and Ishqiya, one could expect something hatke with this one. Son Chiriya releases on 8 February 2019.

6. Adorbs Alert! Priyanka Chopra Hangs Out With Salman Khan’s Nephew

After attending a high profile wedding in Mumbai with Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra is back in NYC. She was seen on the streets of New York with Salman Khan’s nephew, Ahil, who looked happy to be spending time with PeeCee. He was snapped holding hands with the Quantico actor as they left a snazzy restaurant. The mother, Arpita Khan was spotted too.

7. It’s a Wrap for ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ in Delhi

The Delhi leg of the shooting for the upcoming biographical political drama The Accidental Prime Minister has concluded, says veteran actor Anupam Kher, who will be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the film.

Anupam, 63, on Thursday tweeted that shooting here was a learning experience for him.

“The Delhi schedule of our film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ comes to an end. It was great to shoot in a city where I learnt so much about acting (National School Of Drama). It has been a learning experience to work with some superb actors from this city. Thank you Delhi.”
