On Sunday, Zaira Wasim took to Instagram to announce her decision to quit Bollywood. She stated that she was not happy with her line of work as it interfered with her faith and religion. Though some people were unhappy with her decision, Zaira also found support from the industry. Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari said that the news came as a shock to him. “I agree that this news was unexpected, but this is her decision and she has the right to live the way she wants to”, he told mid-day. The trailer of Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra-starrer Jabariya Jodi is out and it looks like a fun comedy. The film is a humorous take on groom kidnappings in Bihar, commonly referred to as ‘pakadwa vivah’.

Actor and singer Karan Oberoi was imprisoned for over a month when a woman accused him of rape on 5 May. In the latest development in the case, he has filed a complaint against the investigating officer, inspector DP Sonawane to 'highlight biased and defective investigation'. According to a Times Now report, Karan filed the case on 29 June in the Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Andheri East, Mumbai.
