One of Hollywood’s finest directors, the acclaimed Christopher Nolan arrived in India this morning. Well-known for his experimental films and blockbuster franchises like Interstellar, Dunkirk, Inception, The Dark Knight Trilogy and much more, Nolan is here to draw attention to the importance of celluloid in the digital age, accompanied by visual artist Tacita Dean.
Dean held a public lecture at the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum on March 30. It will be followed by a 70 mm IMAX film screening of Dunkirk and a 35 mm film screening of Interstellar on March 31.
Reframing the Future of Film: In Conversation with Christopher Nolan, Tacita Dean and filmmaker & archivist Shivendra Singh Dungarpur will be held at the NCPA on April 1.
