Varun Dhawan turned up to cast his vote in the BMC elections but couldn’t find his name in the voters’ list. The actor, upon leaving, said he was upset about not being able to exercise his voting right and mentioned that it’s strange since he “voted last year”.

Twitter, never to let go of such opportunities, was quick to point out his mistake. The actor clarified that he meant the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Check out what they said to make him apologise:

Here’s how Varun got trolled:

Varun did defend himself and also apologised. But later deleted his tweet.

“Hahaha. I don't. It was a slip of the tongue. I meant the Lok Sabha elections for which I voted in 2014,” said Varun.

To which Varun said, “I was wrong I meant lok sabha. My bad sorry.”
