Actors Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal and the digital star Mithila Palkar who is set to make her Bollywood debut this year find a place of pride in Forbes India as young achievers under the age of 30. Singer Jubin Nautiyal who sang the remix version of Humma Humma in OK Janu also made the cut.
The list is a testament to Generation Z who are rewriting the rules of the game. The Forbes India list steers clear of ‘well-established names, next-generation entrepreneurs and those having access to an influential lineage.’
While Bhumi Pednekar starred in films like Dum Lagake Haisha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan with Ayushman Khurana, Toilet Ek Premkatha alongside Akshay Kumar , Vicky Kaushal catapulted into critical acclaim with the National Award winner Masaan. He will now share screen space with Alia Bhatt in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi.
Mithila Palkar, famed as the cup song girl will be seen with Irrfan Khan and Dulquer Salman in her first Bollywood film.
These young guns ticked all the boxes to meet the criteria to be a part of the list - the extent of impact of their achievements, and their ability to disrupt the status quo; scalability of the business or line of work and; their potential to stay a long-term player.
Many artistes, chefs, designers, entertainers, entrepreneurs, finance gurus, musicians and sportspersons who are twenty-something are giving these Bollywood disruptors company on the Forbes list.
