The teaser of Ayushmann Khurrana’s next film, Bala, has just been released, and the actor has once again picked an out of the box subject to be a part of.
Helmed by Stree director Amar Kaushik, Bala revolves around a guy, played by Ayushmann, who finds it hard to find love because of premature balding.
In the teaser, we see Ayushmann giving off “cool dude” vibes as he sings the song ‘Koi Na Koi Chahiye’ from Shah Rukh Khan’s Deewana. But as his cap flies away with the wind, his balding head is revealed, and he quickly moves to Rehno do chodo bhi jane do yaar, lines from the song ‘Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai’ from Rajesh Khanna’s Kati Patang.
Ayushmann took to Twitter to share the teaser of the film, and wrote, “It’s time to make some bold, oops bald moves!”
The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios, Bala will release in theatres on 22 November.
Bala has been in riddled with controversies since its announcement. In June, Kamal Kant Chandra had filed a police complaint, accusing Ayushmann Khurrana, director Amar Kaushik and producer Dinesh Vijan for starting the shoot of Bala despite his objections over the script of the film. Kamal has accused the makers of plagiarising his script, and said that he had “narrated the film to Ayushmann in 2017”.
