Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar will seen together again on the big screen after Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan in the upcoming film Bala directed by Amar Kaushik of Stree fame. Bala is described as a quirky laugh riot and will be produced by Dinesh Vijan who worked with Amar on Stree.
While in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Bhumi played an overweight woman and in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Ayushmann’s character suffered from erectile dysfunction, Bala will continue the theme and have Ayushmann played a prematurely balding man. The film is set to go on the floors in March 2019 for a September release.
Ayushmann and Bhumi had also shot for Manmarziyaan, before the film was shelved and the cast and crew retooled.
Ayushmann is coming off the success of AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho and will next be seen in Dream Girl with Nushrat Bharucha. Bhumi meanwhile has Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiriya with Sushant Singh Rajput coming up next.
