As the country gears up for the India-Pakistan cricket match today, the excitement is at an all time high. The entire nation is gearing up to cheer for the country and irrespective of age, profession, caste, gender, location, India stands as one country cheering for its men in blue.

In the latest promo video of Article 15, Ayushmann highlights how the country stands united today, and how beautifully Article 15 of the Constitution applies to the country. With the video that the actor shared on twitter, he wrote, “India Pakistan Match Ke Din Hum Sab Indian Hote hain. Sahi Maayene Mein Indian! Toh Kyun Na bhed bhaav Bhool Kar, Roz Hi Sirf Indian Banein?

The film has been adapting new and innovative ways to promote it every now and then. Before the trailer launch, an interesting video was dropped where Ayushmann says, “Aapki aukaat aapko ye trailer dekhne ki anumati nahi deti.”. He says people belonging to certain castes in India have to deal with this sort of discrimination everyday.

Recently, Article 15 had earned the ire of the Parshuram Sena, a Brahmin outfit, who have alleged that the film shows the Brahmin community in a bad light

The Anubhav Sinha directorial is loosely inspired by the rape and murder of two Dalit women, which took place in Badaun in Uttar Pradesh. In the trailer, Ayushmann portrays a police officer who is sent to a village in UP to investigate the rape and murder of two young Dalit girls who are found hanging from a tree. It is later revealed that they were targeted because they demanded a hike in their daily wages. Ayushmann’s character has to contend with the caste politics at play while getting to the bottom of the investigation.
