Ayushmann Khurrana Bleeds in Leech-Filled Swamp for ‘Article 15’

Ayushmann Khurrana enters swamp full of leeches for Article 15, ready to bleed for Anubhav Sinha

We have been hearing about actors trying out crazy things for films, and Ayushmann Khurrana takes his preparation a notch higher. Touted as one of the finest actors of the current generation with a sharp eye on scripts, Ayushmann is currently shooting for Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming venture, Article 15 in Uttar Pradesh. One of the shoot schedules had the team step into a swamp full of leeches!

Ayushmann took to Twitter to share his experience. “Today was a true test of my love for my craft. We are in the middle of shooting Article 15, being directed by the super talented Anubhav Sinha. Yesterday, we had a challenging day - a shot required us to enter into a swamp and do a gripping scene. We realised that the swamp was filled with leeches only when we were in the middle of the shot! I would like to salute my brave team of investigating officers (it’s an honour to act with these talented actors) for finishing the scene despite a vicious leech attack! Anubhav Sinha hum aapke liye khoon bahane ko tayaar hain.” He even shared a picture of the shoot.

Early this month, the first look of the film was shared online, showing a grim Ayushmann sporting a moustache and standing beside a jeep. The film also shares Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub in prominent roles. Anubhav Sinha had called the film an ‘investigative drama where the audience too is an accused party.”
