A film is being made on Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay's life. To know more about it, The Quint spoke to Anita Raj who is playing the role of Deendayal Upadhyay’s sister. Anita says that she liked the story when the film’s writer Dheeraj went to her to discuss the script. She also said that she was inspired by the personality of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay after reading the story.
On asking if she wishes to be in politics, Anita then replied, ‘ There is nothing wrong to be in politics but as of now, I don't think I am going to go for it. I believe people should do what they are supposed to do. I find it to be difficult for an actor to turn into a politician. I can't speak for others, but as of now, I would definitely not want to be in politics.’
Anita feels one must canvass for whatever political party one agrees with. She said:
Currently Anita is working with Prateik Babbar and Siddharth Kapoor for a film called Yaram. She believes that everyone wants to work on the big screen, and that actors should not discriminate between films and television.
