‘83’ Poster Introduces Pankaj Tripathi as Cricket Team’s Manager

Kabir Khan’s much-awaited sports drama film, starring Ranveer Singh as veteran cricketer Kapil Dev, 83 is all set to release on 10 April. Based on India’s World Cup victory of 1983, 83 boasts of an ensemble cast. As the release date of the film draws closer, Ranveer Singh has been sharing first looks of all the actors of 83.

Pankaj Tripathi as Man Singh
Pankaj Tripathi will be essaying the role of the team’s manager, Man Singh. Introducing him Ranveer wrote, “THE CHIEF !!! His tireless devotion led Kapil’s Devils to the ultimate glory! The Backbone of Team India 🇮🇳 The best ‘Man’ Manager of all ! Presenting @pankajtripathi as PR MAN SINGH !”
R Badree as Sunil Valson
Cricketer Sunil Valson will be played by R Badree. Ranveer wrote, “The Strong, Silent and Staunch Support System of Team India 🇮🇳 Presenting @rbadree as the left-handed medium pacer #SunilValson aka VALLY”
Dhairya Karwa as Ravi Shastri
Cricketer Ravi Shastri will be played by actor Dhairya Karwa. While sharing the poster Ranveer wrote, “BABYFACE ASSASSIN!!! The youngest gun amongst the Devils...Presenting @dhairya275, the flamboyant all-rounder @ravishastriofficial”
Addinath Kothare as Dilip Vengsarkar
Actor Addinath Kothare will be essaying the role of cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar. While sharing the poster, Ranveer wrote, “ THE COLONEL !!! The finest exponent of the drive and the finest gentleman cricketer. Presenting @adinathkothare as DILIP VENGSARKAR”
Ammy Virk as Balvinder Singh Sandhu
Punjabi actor Ammy Virk will be playing the role of cricketer BS Sandhu in 83. Incidentally, he’s also the one who trained the entire team of 83 in their cricket sessions. Sharing Ammy Virk’s look, Ranveer wrote, “*Cue track* It’s the SWINGIN’ SARDARJI !!! Presenting AMMY VIRK as BALVINDER SINGH SANDHU!!! The latest actor to be introduced in 83’s cricket team is YouTuber/actor Sahil Khattar. Introducing him, Ranveer Singh wrote, “THE GOLDEN GLOVE. Kiri Bhai da Javab nahi! Presenting @issahilkhattar as the one and only SYED KIRMANI!!!”
Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal
Punjabi actor-singer Harrdy Sandhu will be playing the role of cricketer Madan Lal in Kabir Khan’s 83. Introducing him, Ranveer wrote, “PUNJAB DA GABRU VEER !!! Presenting @HARRDYSANDHU as the Dynamic MADAN LAL!!!”
Nishant Dahiya as Roger Binny
The latest actor to be introduced in 83’s cricket team is Kedarnath actor Nishant Dahiya. Introducing him as the right-arm bowler Roger Binny, Ranveer wrote, “RIP IT LIKE ROG!!! IMPOSING, FEROCIOUS & DEADLY!!! Presenting #NishantDahiya as the famed all-rounder #RogerBinny”
Dinker Sharma as Kirti Azad
Dinker Sharma’s look as the off spinner Kirti Azad was released by Ranveer Singh. Introducing him, Ranveer wrote, “Sabse Shararti.”
Chirag Patil as Sandeep Patil
On 15 January, Ranveer shared the first look of actor Chirag Patil who essays the role of his own father, veteran cricketer Sandeep Patil. Introducing him, Ranveer wrote, “SANDY STORM! He’s a Chip off the Old Block ! @iamchiragpatil plays his Father”
Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma
Sarna, most popularly known for playing Bunty in Sacred Games, bears striking resemblance to the cricketer in the poster. “GUTSY & GLORIOUS! Saqib Saleem as Mohinder ‘Jimmy’ Amarnath
On 13 January, Ranveer Singh unveiled the first look of Race 3 actor Saqib Saleem who will be essaying the role of veteran cricketer Mohinder ‘Jimmy’ Amarnath. Ranveer took to social media to make the announcement.
Jiiva as Krishnamachari Srikkanth
He also shared Jiiva’s poster from the film. The Tamil actor will be making his Hindi film debut and is essaying the role of batsman Krishnamachari Srikkanth in the film.
Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar
The first look of Chhichhore actor Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar was also released and was captioned, “Your favorite Sunny, the Little Master wielding his legendary bat and making his way to win India’s first ever World Cup trophy! Presenting to you Kapil Dev’s first devil”
