Iranian master Majid Majidi’s upcoming film Beyond the Clouds, which introduces Shahid Kapoor’s baby brother Ishaan Khatter, traverses the way most foreign filmmakers do when they make a film on India. The focus is on life below the poverty line (comparisons to Slumdog Millionaire is inevitable here). In Majidi’s hands though, one might expect something magical to come out of it.

Padmaavat is off to a fantastic start at the national as well as international box-office. The film raked in Rs 32 crore on its first Friday, despite limited screenings in some states initially. On Saturday too, Padmaavat earned a staggering Rs 27 crore, taking its total collection to Rs 83 crore. By Sunday, it has earned Rs 114 crore.
60th Grammy Awards held on Sunday in New York saw the music industry’s show of solidarity for the Time’s Up movement on the red carpet. Controversial Bollywood movie Padmaavat, which has released in India after a struggle, is now barred from opening in cinemas in Malaysia over concerns regarding "sensitivities of Islam".
Malaysia's National Film Censorship Board (LPF) has barred filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat from getting released in the country.
